2010 is Not the Start of a New Decade
This is just a quick post.
Many say that 2010 is not only the start of a new year but also a start of a new decade. It is true that we are having a new year but starting a new decade is entirely false. We do not have year 0 and as such the first year of a decade always starts with a _ _ _ 1.
Thus, the decade we are living in started on 2001 and will end this year 2010. 2011 will be the start of the 2nd decade of the 21st century.
If only every idiot newscaster and reporter in America had the common sense to figure this out. They all report this as the “New Decade” as if it’s a fact. Makes you wonder how much they really know about everything else they are reporting.
